Think about some of the most iconic logos that have ever been created. Without a smart-looking logo, your business won’t be able to thrive. After all, graphic design is one of the most crucial parts of any good marketing campaign. The logo links the brand and helps build an association in the minds of your customers. Here are some great tips for what to do next

Understand Your Brand

The first thing you need to do is to understand your brand. That’s how you will be able to rethink your logo as part of your branding, especially if you are undergoing a rebranding campaign to refresh everything your company stands for and the products and services you can provide.

Use Colors

Use colors to your full advantage. Colors and images hit the brain and are processed much more quickly than what the text says. This might make you hesitant to choose a text-only logo, but that shouldn’t be the case. As a matter of fact, descriptive logos are actually better for most consumers to interact with these days. A text logo is plain and simple and easy to understand, as opposed to an abstract logo that can confuse viewers who are looking at it. Rely on the science behind color psychology to come up with striking colors that are eye-catching and not an eyesore.

Take Typography into Account

You’ll also have to take typography into account. What does that mean, exactly? The font. Some fonts are classics that stand the test of time, and others will look outdated. It all depends on what type of business you are running. Churches and hotels both serve hundreds of people but they will need different fonts and text formats for different functions – attending a funeral or memorial service is much different than going to a glamorous gala or dinner party.

Rethink Ideas

Another approach is to rethink your current logos. How can you transform them? Sports teams and other organizations gradually change their logos as time goes by. Different programs can help take your sketch and turn it into something amazing. After the digital images are designed to your satisfaction, you can print them out and test them with the physical printed materials that you have new batches of as you begin the next phase of your logo development
