Getting Married in 2020? Jazz Up Your Wedding Program!

That’s why if you plan on tying the knot sometime in the next twelve months, jazzing up your wedding program can be more beneficial than you might think!

The wedding season is almost here! Although the height of the celebration period isn’t until late spring or early summer, these preparations can take months to finalize. That’s why if you plan on tying the knot sometime in the next twelve months, jazzing up your wedding program can be more beneficial than you might think

The Wedding Program Cover

The right cover page can make a great first impression. That’s why the wedding program cover should be eye-catching without being gaudy. However, in the end, the design should reflect the vibe of the wedding – is it supposed to be the ceremony of the decade, or something a tad bit more low-key? Emphasize the date and the names of the couple. Pictures and themes can also help the look of your program rise above the template that you’ve used.

The Interior Cover

The inside cover has its own story to tell! Sometimes a monogram or the barest hint of decoration is enough to make the front cover stylish. Instead, consider placing more information on the inside of the cover. Date, time, names, and location of the venue should all be included here, even if they were already mentioned on the save-the-date that you sent months ago.

Listing of Music

No wedding is complete without some sort of music! Oftentimes, the music is left for the afterparty, but there is almost always some traditional music played to reflect the culture of the people getting married and their families, even if it represents a union of two different cultures coming together. After all, that’s part of a wedding’s magic! This inclusion gives your guests insights and inspiration!

Greetings and Readings

If the officiant for the wedding has a notable bond with the couple, then it is important to include this context in the wedding program. That’s because sound might not always travel well, especially in an outdoor setting on a windy day. Be sure to cite the sources of special readings, whether they come from a religious text or something more secular but no less significant.

Vows

The vows don’t need to be printed verbatim, but you should still indicate in your wedding program when the vows will be recited. Including the actual vows can add to design and printing costs, so depending on the budget allocated to paper products associated with the wedding, it might be more prudent to keep it short and sweet.

Information about the Wedding Party

Finally, be sure to include information about friends, family, and relatives who are included in the main wedding party – for both sides of the couple!
